This season at Metro we are displaying ‘The Menagerie’, a collection curated by the talented Bria Hammock. Bria is a contemporary wilderness painter, muralist, and graphic designer. She incorporates a unique mixture of traditional art form (bold color, big-brush approach) with details of digital design (sharp edges, linear elements) in her work. This captivating combination presents a familiar subject in a bold, unfamiliar color.
It’s creative. It’s spontaneous. It’s entrancing.
Bria has exhibited all across the western Front Range but calls her west edge studio in Cheyenne, WY home. A Mom of two, she says sharing the maker spirit with her kids is the highlight of her weeks. Bria is a founding member of the WY/ART Coalition, advocating for more opportunities to exhibit for western artists. She also launched Wyoming’s first-ever drive-by gallery (quarantine-friendly, of course) in downtown Cheyenne in the spring of 2020.
We are thrilled to share her gift with our community! She’s here for a limited time and you don’t want to miss it, so stop in and witness her incredible talent for yourself.
